Dead Horse Point

It's April already and I've managed to come down with one of my epic colds, so I'm taking a break from regular posting. To make it up to you guys, I leave you with this photo of the Colorado River in Utah. This was taken in Dead Horse State Park, Utah. Hope you like it!

  2. Thanks, Hollis! I imagine you've been there too? So much geological history in there, so fascinating!!!

  3. I was there once ... probably 25 years ago! I'm going to southern Utah in a few weeks, but probably not Canyonlands. Great photo of Monument Valley also (next post), makes me really anxious to go on vacation!

  4. Enjoy! If you can, I highly recommend Canyonlands. Incidentally, if you haven't discussed it already in your blog, I'd love to know more about the geological origin of the structures in Monument Valley... do you happen to know? The explanation they had there wasn't very satisfactory...

  5. I don't know anything about Monument Valley -- one of the many places I'd like to visit. I'm reading about the Colorado Plateau now, getting ready for vacation. If I come across enough info, I'll put a post together.

  6. I'd just like to say that the river in view is actually the Colorado River. It's confluence with the Green is further downstream
